LEAK: compliance is retroactively voiding conversions over your creatives
Word from an affiliate manager: some programs now void payouts retroactively if your ad creatives used non-compliant language — 'guaranteed returns,' price predictions, missing risk disclaimers — even on conversions that already qualified.
The regulator pressure rolls downhill, and you're the bottom of the hill.
For affiliates:
— Get the creative compliance rules before you scale, in writing. 'We'll let you know' is a retroactive-void waiting to happen.
— Screenshot and archive your live creatives with dates. If they claim a violation, you want proof of what actually ran.
— Avoid the obvious landmines entirely: no return guarantees, no price calls, always carry the risk disclaimer. It's also just the rule that keeps you out of bigger trouble.
A qualified conversion isn't paid until the compliance window closes. Watch this.
