<b>Framework: Automatic weight decay for stale offers</b>
Purpose: stop an offer that stopped converting from holding its weight on autopilot.
Set decay triggers so dead offers shrink themselves:
— No conversion in 200 clicks: drop weight by half
— No conversion in 400 clicks: drop to 5%
— No conversion in 600 clicks: pause and route to fallback
Checklist:
☐ Apply decay per geo, not blended — an offer can be dead in one country, alive in another
☐ Pair every decay with a promotion rule, so a recovering offer can climb back
☐ Exempt brand-new offers still inside burn-in (under 300 clicks)
☐ Log every auto-decay so you can tell a true death from a postback outage
A sudden decay across many offers at once usually means a tracking break, not bad offers. Check postbacks first.
Review decay logs weekly.
