Negative Reddit threads? Use this response plan before your brand reputation compounds
Classify the thread before replying: product failure, support issue, misunderstanding, spam, or bad faith. Save the link and key facts internally; keep customer data out of public comments.
Reply once from an identifiable company account. Acknowledge the specific concern, avoid unverified claims, and move account details to private support. Give one concrete next step and a clear owner.
Keep the tone calm and the message short. If criticism is fair, route it to product and support teams. If the issue is resolved, invite an update—never demand deletion or praise.
Report only rule violations: doxxing, impersonation, threats, or coordinated spam. Include evidence, follow subreddit rules, and do not threaten moderators. Track repeated complaints by theme, not just sentiment.
The goal is not to win an argument. Show readers that your brand is accountable, specific, and easy to reach.
