Research kills half your campaigns before they launch
Most marketers skip it. They see a trend, copy a competitor's angle, or trust their gut. Then wonder why CAC spikes and ROAS tanks.
The issue isn't that research takes time. It's that most people do it wrong:
• Talk to your audience *before* building the offer — not after. Ask why they buy, what objections kill deals, which words they use. Real conversations, not surveys.
• Competitor analysis should answer: what are they *not* saying? Gaps are where you win. If everyone claims "fastest delivery," that's noise. Find what they avoid.
• Test messaging on small traffic first. Your research hypothesis will be wrong. Budget $50-100 to validate before scaling to $1,000+.
• Segment your audience. "Everyone aged 18-45" isn't research, it's laziness. Build separate campaigns for first-time buyers vs. returning customers, different pain points, different geographies.
Skip this and you're guessing. Do it right and your first-week CAC drops 20-30%, conversion rate lifts, and you scale faster. Research isn't overhead — it's the foundation.
