Booking.com, Expedia, and similar hotel programs can convert well because the intent is already there. But the real work starts after the click: tracking windows, stay-completion logic, cancellation rules, and whether the program pays on booking or only after checkout.

Before joining, check these points:
— When commission is approved: at booking, after stay, or after the return window
— Which rate types are excluded: mobile-only, member-only, package, corporate, or tax/fee components
— How last-click attribution works with price-comparison sites, email, and retargeting
— Whether cross-device and app installs are tracked cleanly, or quietly lost

Also watch the geography rules. Some hotel offers look global but pay only for specific markets, currencies, or traffic types. If your content mixes destinations, make sure deep links resolve correctly and that the landing page matches the traveler’s country and language. A weak match can kill conversion even when the offer looks strong on paper.

For evergreen content, build around search intent that stays stable: hotel reviews, neighborhood guides, airport transfer pages, and “best areas to stay” articles. Those pages age better than deal posts and usually fit hotel programs more naturally.
