<b>Upsell flow: go DOWN in price, not up</b>
The instinct is to upsell something pricier after the first buy. Backwards. The proven nutra sequence descends.
— Upsell 1: the biggest, best-value bundle of what they JUST bought (more of the win).
— Downsell if declined: a smaller cheaper version, never let them leave on a no.
— Upsell 2: a cheaper complementary product, not a pricier unrelated one.
Momentum dies when you ask for MORE money right after a purchase. Asking for the same or less keeps the yes-streak alive.
Go test it: flip your flow so each step costs less than the last. Track take-rate per step, not just total.
