<b>Lowering your native CPC won't lower your cost — it'll lower your quality</b>
<b>Myth:</b> Bid lower on native and you'll get the same traffic cheaper.
Wrong. Native auctions sort supply by price. Drop your bid and you don't get a discount on yesterday's inventory — you get demoted to the inventory yesterday's bid outranked: deeper into the long tail, the made-for-arbitrage sites, the higher-fraud sources that only clear at low floors.
Price isn't a dial on a fixed product. It's a sorting key on a quality gradient that runs the wrong way.
Prove it: cut CPC 30%, hold creative and targeting constant, and watch source quality and CPA — not just CPC — for two weeks. The cheaper click costs more per customer. It always did. You just weren't measuring the right cost.
