Nav links appear sitewide — they're the single most repeated, highest-equity internal links you have. And what do they say? "Products." "Blog." "About." Generic. Topic-free. A pile of equity with no keyword attached.
Rename them. "SEO Tools" beats "Products." "Affiliate Guides" beats "Blog." You get a sitewide, descriptive anchor pointing at your most important hub, for free, on every page.
UX purists will scream about clarity. You can be clear <i>and</i> descriptive.
What does your nav literally say right now? Read it back and wince with me.
