Build a long-term Reddit presence with a weekly budget you can actually sustain
Reddit marketing rarely fails because someone missed one clever post. It fails when the routine is too demanding to repeat. Set a weekly budget of focused time, then protect it like an operating task—not an occasional burst of enthusiasm.
A realistic baseline:
— 30 minutes: read target subreddit rules and recent discussions
— 60 minutes: leave useful comments without pitching
— 45 minutes: improve one landing page, FAQ, or onboarding step
— 30 minutes: review replies, objections, and moderation feedback
— 15 minutes: record what worked and choose the next small test
Split the work across several short sessions if that fits your schedule. Keep a simple log with the subreddit, topic, contribution, response, and follow-up. This prevents repeated questions, reveals patterns, and makes progress visible even when traffic is inconsistent.
Increase the budget only after the routine survives several weeks of normal workload. If you cannot maintain the minimum, narrow the scope: fewer subreddits, one audience, and one useful content angle. Sustainable presence beats occasional volume.
Choose a schedule you can repeat when results are quiet. Trust is built through consistent, relevant participation—not through the biggest weekly time commitment.
