Wikipedia flags its own rot — use it as a pre-qualified queue.
1. Search insource:"cite" within your niche category pages.
2. Filter to citations tagged {{dead link}} or {{cbignore}}.
3. Pull the original dead URL; check Wayback for the archived content.
4. Match each dead source to a live page you own that covers the same fact.
5. Confirm your replacement is at least as authoritative (no thin pages).
6. Edit only where your link genuinely improves the citation — log every edit.
