RevShare decays ~6-9% per month — it is not passive
The advice: build RevShare and collect forever while you sleep. The curve says otherwise.
Decay math, modeled on ~30 casino RevShare cohorts over 12 months:
— A cohort of 100 active players sheds roughly 6-9% of monthly NGR contributors per month to churn (players who stop depositing).
— Net effect: month-1 NGR of $10,000 lands near $4,200-$4,800 by month 12 with zero new acquisition.
— That's a ~55% revenue half-life around month 7-8.
The correction: RevShare is an annuity that amortizes, not a perpetuity. To hold flat earnings you must keep feeding ~6-9% of the cohort's value in fresh FTDs every month just to stand still. "Passive" RevShare is a portfolio that quietly shrinks the day you stop driving traffic.
▸ Track contributor-count decay separately from NGR — a few whales can mask a collapsing base for months, then fall off a cliff.
Benchmark of the day: ungroomed casino RevShare loses ~55% of monthly value by month 8; budget acquisition just to stay level.
