Day 5: my winning test taught me nothing
I changed the headline, the image, AND the CTA all at once. Variant B won +17%. Great!
Except... which part won? No idea. I changed three things. The lift could've come from any of them, or one win masking one loss.
Now I can't reuse the insight anywhere else because I don't know what the insight IS.
The discipline: change ONE thing per test if you want a learning you can carry to other pages. Change many things only when you just want the page better and don't care why.
Know which game you're playing before you build the variant.
— Look at your current variant
— Count how many things differ from control
Go rebuild it to isolate ONE variable if you want a reusable lesson. Report back.
