Database: saved. Files: saved. Now restore on a fresh box and rediscover nothing works — because your nginx config, cron jobs, DNS records, env vars, and SSL certs lived only on the dead server.
A restore that takes three days of reverse-engineering 'how was this even configured' is a failed restore.
Back up infrastructure as code, or at minimum document and version every config that touches prod.
Data without its environment is a car with no engine block. Fight me in the comments.
