Myth: "An all-in-one is always cheaper than stacking specialists"
The pitch: why pay for Ahrefs + a tracker + a crawler when Semrush does it all? I actually priced both stacks for a 5-client agency setup.
Semrush all-in-one (Guru):
➕ One login, one bill (~$250/mo)
➖ Rank tracker capped at 1,500 keywords, crawl capped at 20K pages
➖ Overages stack up fast past those caps
Specialist stack (Ahrefs + AccuRanker + Screaming Frog):
➕ Each tool's best-in-class, no artificial caps
➖ Three bills, three UIs (~$300-340/mo)
Best for: solo / small, all-in-one wins on price and simplicity. High keyword or crawl volume, the specialist stack is cheaper once you hit the caps.
Price-vs-value: the myth holds only below the limits. The caps are the catch nobody mentions.
Neutral, no referral links.
Pick all-in-one under ~1,000 tracked keywords. Skip it the moment you're paying overages.
