MOVING: cross-program deduplication is eating duplicate FTDs
Heard that some exchanges run multiple affiliate programs (direct, network-distributed, plus a token-incentive referral) on the same user pool — and they're now deduplicating across all of them.
Translation: if your referred user also clicked a competitor's link, or had an existing wallet-linked account, your conversion can get voided as a 'duplicate' even though you did the work.
For affiliates:
— Ask how 'new user' is defined: by email, by device, by wallet address, or by KYC identity. Wallet-based dedup is the strictest and the most common void reason.
— Existing-user clawbacks reportedly spike during exchange migrations and account merges.
— Push first-touch geos and audiences with low prior exchange penetration. Saturated audiences = dedup graveyard.
