Myth: "Stack a rebill on your dating CPA and the recurring revenue is free money — that's the chat consensus."

Rebill revenue is real but it's neither free nor yours to count yet. The user has to clear the trial, not refund, not chargeback, and survive the advertiser's retention before that second payment lands — and dating rebill churn in month one is savage, often well past 60 percent. The number your network shows for projected rebill is a hopeful model, not money in your account.

The trap is optimizing your front end <i>for</i> the rebill projection. The cheap impulse traffic that maximizes trial signups is exactly the cohort that refunds hardest, so you inflate a projected rebill number while torching your actual realized one. High front-end signups and low rebill survival is the signature of traffic you should be buying less of.

Judge rebill offers on realized second-payment rate per source after a full billing cycle, never on the projected figure the network dangles to get you running.

Reality: rebill isn't bonus income, it's deferred income gated behind churn — count it after it bills, not before.
