Find What's Blocking Your Page From Rendering

Render-blocking resources are files — usually CSS or JavaScript — that the browser must finish before it can show anything. Until they load, your visitor stares at a blank screen. Think of it like a doorman checking everyone's coat before letting the party start.

Here's how to find yours:

1. Run your page in PageSpeed Insights.

2. Scroll to the 'Opportunities' section.

3. Look for 'Eliminate render-blocking resources' and click it open.

4. It lists each file plus the seconds it costs you.
—
5. Note which are CSS (styles) and which are JS (scripts).

Knowing the exact files is half the battle — you can't fix what you can't see.
