Indexing API vs just pinging your sitemap. Most of you are overcomplicating it.
People rig the Google Indexing API for blog posts. It's officially for job postings and livestreams — works for the rest, against ToS, and Google can ignore or penalize the abuse.
When it's worth the risk: genuinely time-sensitive pages on a slow-crawl site, low volume, you accept the gray-hat.
What actually works for 95%: a clean sitemap that auto-updates on publish, submitted in GSC, plus ONE internal link from a frequently-crawled page (your homepage or a hub). That's the real indexing accelerator nobody talks about.
Link your new post from a hub on day one. That beats any API hack.
