Manual Bidding vs Auto-Optimization on Forex Push
What it is: Two ways to manage bids on push/pop networks for broker offers. Manual: you set CPCs per source/geo and prune by hand. Auto-optimization (network CPA goal, RichPush's auto-rules, tracker rule engines) shifts bids and pauses sources automatically.
Best for manual: Early testing of a new offer where you have no conversion baseline and need to see raw source behavior before trusting an algorithm.
Pros (manual)
— Full control; you see which sources/geos actually deposit
— No algo over-pruning a slow-converting winner
— Builds the whitelist the auto-rules will later use
Cons (manual)
— Time-heavy; you can't watch 500 sources by hand
— FTD lag means you cut sources before deposits register
Auto-optimization shines once you have conversion data: CPA-goal bidding and auto-pause rules scale a proven funnel without you babysitting. The risk is the algorithm optimizing to clicks or early signals, not lagged FTDs, and starving a good slow source.
Who should skip auto-optimization: Buyers in week one of a new offer with zero FTD history. The algo has nothing to learn from. Bid manually first.
Verdict: Manual learns, auto scales.
