Best of the inbox: the 30-day cold domain warm-up
We pulled the clearest sequences for taking a brand-new sending domain from zero to scale without tripping filters.
📥 Setup
— Authenticate first — SPF, DKIM, DMARC at p=none, plus a custom tracking domain before email #1. Skipping this is the #1 reason new domains stall.
— Seed with engagers — week one, mail only your top 20% openers from a known-good list. They train the reputation that everyone else inherits.
🚀 Ramp
— Double daily, cap the climb — 50 → 100 → 200, but never jump more than ~2x/day and pause if complaints cross 0.1%.
— Postmaster + SNDS dashboards — check seed placement at Gmail/Outlook every morning of the ramp, not at the end.
🧪 Proof
— Move DMARC to quarantine only after 14 clean days — rushing the policy before reputation exists gets legit mail bounced.
Why these made the cut: each step has a trigger and a stop condition, so you know when to push and when to hold.
Saved you ~2 hours of stitching together warm-up threads.
