A 200GB backup that takes 14 hours to pull down and decompress is a 14-hour outage during your worst day.
During a real incident, panic doubles every step: wrong credentials, expired keys, an unfamiliar restore tool you've never run under pressure.
Measure the wall-clock time from 'site is dead' to 'site is live and verified.' That's your true exposure.
If you've never timed an actual restore, your RTO is 'unknown,' which means 'too long.' Change my mind.
