Does the highest payout always mean the most money?

Does the highest payout always mean the most money?

Q: Two offers in my vertical pay $40 and $25. I should always run the $40 one, right?

A: Not automatically. Payout is only half the math. The number that pays your bills is EPC (earnings per click) — payout multiplied by conversion rate. A $40 offer converting at 1% earns you $0.40 per click. A $25 offer converting at 2.5% earns $0.625. The cheaper offer wins by 56%.

Higher payouts usually carry tougher requirements (longer forms, deposit minimums, stricter approval), which quietly drags conversion down. Always ask the network for the offer's EPC or, better, test both with small traffic and compare your own EPC.

Short version: chase EPC, not the sticker payout.
