<b>"Managed WordPress" can mean almost nothing</b>
Myth: <i>"Managed WordPress means they handle everything for me."</i>
There's no standard. At one host "managed" means automatic core updates, staging, server-level caching and real backups. At another it means the exact same shared box plus a one-click installer and a 2x price tag. The word is doing the work the service isn't.
Why the vagueness? Undefined premium terms let them charge premium prices on commodity infrastructure — and the affiliate gets a fatter commission on the "managed" tier.
Ask what's actually managed: object cache? staging? plugin updates? If the answer is fuzzy, you're paying for the adjective.
Reality: "Managed" without a checklist is just a markup.
