Word is a chunk of the 'new links' the strong brands earn each month aren't new coverage at all — they're conversions.
The operation: scrape every web mention of the brand name that doesn't link, then outreach each one asking for the link. Cheap, fast, and the placements are pre-qualified because someone already chose to mention you.
— Tell in the profile: a steady drip of links from older pages (publish date months before the link's first-seen date). The article's old; the link is new.
— These age well because the host genuinely wrote about you.
Multiple established profiles show this lagging-link pattern — content from last year suddenly linking this quarter.
The gap most brands leave on the table: their own unlinked mentions, sitting there free.
