Sending a Google Doc vs writing in their CMS
How you hand over the actual article.
— Google Doc link: editor's default, easy to comment, but they can strip your links silently before publishing and you'd never know till it's live.
— Their CMS / WordPress login: rare, but when they give it, YOU set the anchors and they stick. Worth asking for on repeat-partner sites.
The catch with Docs: always re-check the live URL after publish. I've had do-follow links quietly swapped to nofollow between Doc and publish twice.
Send the Doc, but bookmark the post and verify the link attribute live the day it ships. Caught one swap last month worth re-asking for.
