Word is the real intel is in new/lost links, not the static total
Here's the play the monitoring crowd runs. A profile snapshot is a photo. The new-and-lost feed is the movie.
— Ahrefs' New/Lost links view dated by day shows you the exact week a competitor launched a campaign — and from which network.
— Lost-link spikes are the tell of a burned PBN or an expired sponsorship — a rival losing power in real time.
— Cross-check pace: 40 fresh referring domains in 30 days from similar-looking blogs = a bought push, not organic.
Majestic's link-velocity charts say the same thing slower. The operators don't audit competitors once — they watch the new/lost feed and catch the move while it's happening. Static totals are for amateurs. Watch this space.
