How to check if Reddit is hiding your post before you waste a week on it

A post may look live from your account while being invisible to others. Low reach alone is not proof of a shadowban: removals, spam filters, subreddit settings, and account restrictions can look the same.

Run four checks:
— Open the URL logged out in a private window.
— Search the exact title or URL; sort the subreddit by New.
— Check for a removal label or inbox notice.
— Ask an established user to confirm visibility; no votes or comments.

If it appears publicly but gets no reach, the cause may be ranking, timing, weak subreddit fit, or a crowded feed. If it appears only to you, compare the logged-out view with your profile’s Posts tab. A missing post with no label may have been caught by a site-wide filter.

Do not repost repeatedly. Record the URL and status, then review rules on links, account age, karma, and posting frequency. Message moderators once and ask whether the post was removed or filtered.

Confirm visibility first, identify the restriction second, and only then publish again.
