The posting-time experiment a baker ran instead of guessing
A home baker scheduled all her pins at 9am because a blog post once told her to. Reach felt random — around 12k monthly views, no pattern she could see.
She ran a two-week timing experiment:
— Split her pins into three groups posted at distinct windows: early morning, lunchtime, late evening
— Kept everything else identical — same boards, same pin styles
— Compared first-48-hour impressions per group in her analytics
Late evening crushed the others — her audience of busy parents browsed after bedtime, not at 9am.
She shifted her whole schedule to the 8–10pm window, and average first-day impressions per pin rose about 60%, lifting monthly views to 19k over the next few weeks.
Takeaway: Generic 'best times' are someone else's audience. Run a two-week window test on your own pins and post when your people actually scroll.
