One-sheet commission tracking: catch rate cuts before they distort your traffic decisions
Build one row per program with columns for network, region, category, old rate, current rate, tier, cookie window, exclusions, and status. Write the payout rule plainly: percentage, flat fee, product group, or threshold. This stops a headline rate from hiding a lower payout on your traffic.
Never overwrite old rates. Keep a change log for the notice, affected category, and action taken. Use "not checked" instead of zero. Labels such as Active, Reduced, Under review, and Closed make filtering fast.
Review the sheet against earnings and conversion data before editing links. When payouts drop, check tier resets, exclusions, attribution rules, and returned orders. If the program is weaker, record and test the replacement.
A reliable sheet turns scattered notices into decisions: verify each change, measure its impact, then move traffic with evidence.
