"One page, one goal, one CTA." [MOSTLY MYTH]

"One page, one goal, one CTA." [MOSTLY MYTH]

The myth: any second call-to-action splits attention and tanks conversions.

Why it spread: a real principle (don't offer ten competing actions) got flattened into "never repeat a button."

The boring truth: repeating the same CTA down a long page isn't a second goal, it's catching people at the moment they're ready. The thing that actually hurts is offering different destinations of equal weight. Attention isn't a fixed pie you slice; readiness arrives at different scroll depths.

The nuance: one decision, repeated. Plus a quiet escape hatch ("not ready? see how it works") for the 90% who'd otherwise just leave. Hiding the exit doesn't trap them. It loses them.
