What it does: stops demand from clearing your inventory at bargain CPMs.

Setup (effort 4/5):
— Pull historical winning-bid distribution per slot. Your floor sits near the 20-25th percentile of clears.
— Start LOW and raise weekly. A floor set too high tanks fill instantly and is hard to spot.
— Floor by geo: US/UK floors run far higher than tier-3 traffic — one global floor leaves money on the table.
— Use dynamic/optimized floors if your stack supports them; static floors go stale fast.
— Watch unfilled rate after each change. Fill dropping >5%? Back off.

RPM lift seen: +6-14% when inventory was clearing too cheap; can go negative if overshooting.

Pros: captures value on premium slots. Cons: the #1 way to silently crater fill.

Best for: sites with strong tier-1 traffic. Skip if your fill is already under 90%.
