How to document a campaign so it becomes evidence you can sell with
Thesis: creators who can show measured outcomes command higher repeat rates, yet most never capture the data while it's available. Build a documentation routine.
The routine, executed during the campaign:
— Agree on one primary metric with the brand before launch — code redemptions, tracked link conversions, sign-ups. Retrofitting a metric afterward invites cherry-picking.
— Use a unique tracking link or code per placement so attribution isn't contested later.
— Screenshot platform analytics within the 28-day window; most platforms purge or re-baseline granular data afterward.
— Record the baseline: the brand's prior conversion rate, so your lift is interpretable.
— Log qualitative signal too (comment sentiment, DM volume), flagged clearly as anecdotal.
Caveat: single-campaign results have no control group; one strong case is a data point, not proof of repeatability. Present it as such — that honesty itself builds trust.
What we still don't know: how predictive one documented campaign is of the next, given how much creative and timing variance sits between them.
