A link monitor beats a link scheduler every single time
The entire "velocity tool" category is built on the wrong verb. Scheduling assumes you control when links appear — you don't, the publisher does, the crawler does.
What you CAN control is reaction: a monitor (Ahrefs alerts, Linkody, even a SERP-watch script) tells you when a competitor blasts links at you, when a placement gets pulled, when a toxic neighbor links in.
Scheduling pretends you're the conductor. Monitoring admits you're a passenger who should watch the road.
Budget the watcher, kill the scheduler.
Who disagrees? 🔥
