Images are usually 60% of page weight. Attack in order:
— Audit which pages ship the heaviest images (crawl + size export), fix worst offenders first
— Convert to WebP/AVIF, but keep a JPEG fallback for old Safari
— Resize to actual rendered dimensions — a 4000px hero displayed at 800px is pure waste
— Add width/height attributes and lazy-load below the fold to fix CLS and LCP together

👍 free, browser-based, exact per-image control
