Both get URLs to Bing fast. The difference is scope and limits.

Bing's classic Submission API caps at 10,000 URLs/day per site (after verification) and is Bing-only. IndexNow is a shared protocol: one ping reaches Bing, Yandex, Seznam, Naver at once, and the daily limit is effectively your URL count vs a soft 10k recommendation.

Pros (IndexNow): multi-engine, no API key dance, just a key file at root.
Cons (IndexNow): no per-URL response status, no quota dashboard.
Pros (Bing API): explicit quota tracking, ties into Bing Webmaster reporting, batch endpoint.
Cons (Bing API): single engine, needs API key + verification.

Best for IndexNow: any site that wants broad instant pings with minimal setup.
