A postback engineer at a Tier-1 CPA network told us their crypto advertisers now reject browser-pixel conversions outright — wallet flows lose the cookie across 3-4 redirects and a hardware-wallet popup.
Server-to-server vs pixel, when each makes sense —
— Pixel (client-side): fine for a simple email-signup crypto offer with one landing page. Breaks the second a user bounces to a wallet app and back.
— S2S postback: mandatory for any deposit/KYC/first-trade event. The conversion fires from the advertiser's server, immune to ad-blockers, iOS, and wallet redirects.
