You should run a lock-in exit audit on your builder every six months, even if you love it.
Five questions, answer them honestly. Can you export the HTML/CSS in a usable form, or just a screenshot of a zip? Does the CMS export as CSV/JSON with your real field structure intact? Who owns the domain DNS, you or the agency that set it up? If the platform 2x'd its price tomorrow, what's your realistic move-out time in days? Are your forms and integrations native or third-party that survive a migration? If three answers scare you, you don't have a website, you have a hostage situation.
