Playbook: write a UGC creator brief that ships a winner first try
Most bad UGC is a bad brief, not a bad creator. Run this checklist before you send.
— Give ONE hook line to read verbatim in the first 3 seconds. Don't let them freestyle the open.
— Specify the setting: messy kitchen, car, bathroom mirror. Authenticity is a location, not a vibe.
— Ban the tripod. Request a handheld walk-and-talk for the first clip — movement kills the ad-detector reflex.
— Demand 3 different hooks for the same body. You're buying variations, not one video.
— Require a 'mistake moment' — fumbling the product, talking over themselves. Polished reads as scripted.
🔥 Pick of the week: ask for the unboxing shot LAST, after they've used it. Reverse the timeline and it reads like a real review.
