Story/Reel-native vs feed-native creative: don't run one in both
Same campaign, two different builds — and recycling one into the other quietly tanks performance.
— Story/Reel-native: full-screen 9:16, fast cuts, designed to be consumed leaning-in and alone. Text safe-zones matter, the bottom third gets eaten by UI.
— Feed-native: 4:5 or 1:1, designed to survive a scroll-past while surrounded by other posts. It needs a stronger first frame because it's competing in a crowded grid, not owning the screen.
The lazy move — a feed square with letterboxing in Stories — screams 'ad' and gets skipped in 1 second.
⭐ Pick of the week: build the 9:16 first, then crop UP to feed, never down. Designing for the demanding placement first means the feed cut inherits a stronger opening frame instead of a padded one.
