My first site died because I picked the niche on vibes. The second one I validated in a week before writing a word.
— Day 1-2: pulled 40 seed keywords, checked every SERP for forum/Reddit results ranking top 5 — that's Google admitting it has no good answer
— Day 3: counted how many top-10 results were sites under 2 years old. Found 6 of 10 on "best budget espresso under $200" — green light
— Day 4: checked Amazon for 3+ products at $80+ with sub-1000 reviews. Affiliate depth confirmed
— Day 5: priced 20 articles of writing at $0.06/word — $1,440 to test
— Day 6-7: bought the domain, mapped 25 articles
That site hit $600/mo by month 9. The vibes site never broke $40.
Lesson banked: a niche you can't validate in 7 days is a niche you're guessing on.
