My meal-prep site hit $2,100/mo profit, steady, by month 22. A broker offered 32x monthly — about $67k. I almost took it; the lump sum was tempting and I was tired.

I ran the honest comparison. Sell: $67k now, taxed, and I'd sign a non-compete locking me out of the niche I knew best. Hold: $25k/year, but the site was still growing 8% a quarter and a pending Mediavine upgrade would lift RPM. Holding 30 more months would out-earn the sale and I'd keep the asset.

But the flip side was real: one core update could halve it overnight, and $67k in hand has zero algorithm risk.

Lesson banked: a sale converts future risk into certain cash; holding bets on stability you don't control. At a 30x offer on a growing site, the right answer is rarely all-in either direction.
