Checklist: setting up X-to-Threads cross-posting that doesn't look botted
Tested Typefully's cross-post on a real account for 11 days. Auto-mirroring tanks reach; here's the setup that didn't.
— Connect Threads via the official API, not a session-token tool. Session tools get logged out weekly.
— Turn OFF link auto-shortening. Threads de-ranks bit.ly-style links; post the raw URL.
— Set a 4-8 minute delay between platforms. Simultaneous identical timestamps are the clearest bot tell.
— Strip X @-handles. They render as dead text on Threads and read as lazy reposts.
— Kill the trailing "posted via" attribution in settings.
Typefully's standout is per-platform editing in one composer, so you fix handles before sending. Starts at 12.50 USD/mo. Annoying limit: it won't pull Threads-native quote posts back into your X queue, so that loop is one-way.
Verdict: Worth it for the per-platform edit alone.
