"Your hero needs a big beautiful product shot." [BUSTED]
The myth: lead with a glamour render of the thing you sell.
Why it spread: agencies sell design, and a hero render photographs well in the case-study deck.
The boring truth: cold visitors don't care what it looks like, they care what it does for them. Eye-tracking consistently shows faces and outcome-images pull attention; a floating dashboard screenshot pulls a shrug. The product shot answers a question nobody's asking yet.
The nuance: show the after-state, not the artifact. The result, the relieved human, the cleaned-up inbox. Save the product render for the section where they've already decided they want it and need to picture using it.
