Confirmed: server postback vs client pixel for pop conversions
This one's not close, but people still get it wrong.
— Client-side pixel relies on the user's browser firing after conversion — on pop traffic, that browser is already three redirects and an adblocker away. You under-count, then under-bid, then lose the source.
— Server-to-server postback fires advertiser-to-tracker, no browser involved — accurate even when the user vanished.
Our read: pixel only when an advertiser literally offers nothing else, and then trust the numbers half as much. Any pop buyer optimizing on pixel data is optimizing on a lie that gets worse as traffic gets dirtier.
