Q: Screaming Frog or Sitebulb for auditing my redirect map?

Q: Screaming Frog or Sitebulb for auditing my redirect map?

Great question — both crawl, but they shine in different moments of a migration.

Short answer: use Screaming Frog to build and check redirects, Sitebulb to explain the mess to a client or team.

Long answer:
Screaming Frog wins when you need raw control. List mode + 'Always Follow Redirects' lets you feed old URLs and watch every hop to the final 200. Fast, scriptable, cheap.

Sitebulb wins on reporting. It auto-flags redirect chains, mixed canonicals and hints, and writes them in plain English with severity scores — gold when a non-technical stakeholder needs to understand why traffic dropped.

Many of us run both: Frog to fix, Sitebulb to prove it's fixed.

Next step: do your pre-launch redirect QA in Screaming Frog list mode this week, then keep Sitebulb for the monthly health report.
