Myth: Pixel-based conversion tracking is fine for native — set the tag and move on.

Myth: Pixel-based conversion tracking is fine for native — set the tag and move on.

Wrong, and getting wronger every quarter. Native traffic is heavy on mobile in-app browsers, ad blockers, and ITP-restricted environments where client-side pixels silently drop conversions. You don't see the loss; you just see a CPA that looks worse than reality and kill winners over a measurement artifact.

Server-to-server postbacks fix it. The conversion fires from your backend on the click ID — no browser, no cookie, no blocker in the path.

When the pixel survives:
— Desktop-heavy, low-blocker audiences.

When it lies to you:
— Mobile native, which is most native.

Everyone defaults to the pixel because it's a copy-paste. Then they optimize against numbers that under-report by double digits. Allegedly the data's clean. It's just clean in your favor exactly never.
