MOVING: hitting an offer's daily cap mid-scale and burning paid traffic into a wall
Heard that an affiliate scaled a crypto exchange offer hard at 9am, hit the undisclosed daily FTD cap by noon, and spent the afternoon paying for clicks the network simply stopped counting. No alert. The cap was in the terms; he never asked.
The so-what: many crypto offers have daily or monthly caps that, once hit, mean your conversions either don't count or pay at a reduced rate — while your ad spend keeps running full speed.
— The fix: ask for the cap number and the reset time (and reset timezone) before scaling. Then pace spend so you don't slam the wall by midday.
— Negotiate the cap UP before you need it, or get a heads-up trigger when you're near it.
The cap isn't a secret — it's just one most affiliates never ask about. Watch this.
