VideoObject without uploadDate and thumbnail is invisible
From video-SEO audits this week: VideoObject markup missing thumbnailUrl, uploadDate, or a usable contentUrl/embedUrl. These aren't recommended — they're required for video rich results and the Video tab, and skipping any one drops the page out of video eligibility entirely while still validating as 'an object.'
What it means for you: thumbnailUrl must be a crawlable image meeting minimum dimensions, uploadDate in ISO 8601 with timezone, and you need either a direct contentUrl or an embedUrl Google can render. Pages embedding YouTube without their own VideoObject forfeit host eligibility.
Watch this: duration in ISO 8601 (PT5M30S, not '5:30') unlocks the key-moments treatment — most sites format it wrong and lose it.
