Believing a vendor's "undetectable" claim is the actual mistake
Hot take: the costliest error is outsourcing your judgment to whoever sold you the tool. "Undetectable," "100% safe," "works forever" — these are marketing, and marketing has never once been responsible for your banned account. The vendor keeps your money either way. People treat a purchase as protection. It's just a purchase. The fix is ownership: no tool is a guarantee, every claim has a half-life, and the only person liable for your risk is you. If safety came in a checkout cart, nobody would ever get caught.
