Double opt-in offers pay less so they're not worth it
Myth: "DOI dating converts half as often as SOI, so the chats say skip it and chase single opt-in volume."
Look at what you're actually comparing. SOI pays on an email submit; DOI pays only after the user clicks a confirmation link. Yes, your raw conversion rate drops — but the advertiser is paying you for a verified, reachable user, which is why DOI payouts run 1.8 to 3x higher per action.
The real question is your confirmation rate, and that's a funnel problem, not an offer problem. Bot and incentive traffic confirms near zero. Clean push and native from a relevant angle can confirm 35 to 55 percent. If your SOI looks profitable, it's often because the advertiser hasn't finished scrubbing your fake submits yet — and that reckoning arrives on the next invoice.
DOI is also where you survive long-term: advertisers rarely claw back confirmed leads, so your numbers stop swinging every payment cycle.
Reality: DOI doesn't pay less, it pays for something real — and that's exactly why it's stable.
